Let the number or rows be x.

Since the number of columns is the same, it will also be x.

The total number of trees is x*x.

The total number of trees is 676.

So,

x*x=676

x^2=676

x=√676

x=26

Hence, there are 26 rows and 26 columns.

Hope it helped :)

Number of trees = 676

To find the number of rows and columns, first we need to keep in mind that we have to find equal number of rows and columns.

No.of rows and columns

= Root of 676

= √676

=26

Hope this helps.
