The total no. of trees are 150.

Let no. of trees in each column be t

So, no. of trees in each row = t + 5

Total no. of trees = no. of trees in each row X no. of trees in each column

So,

150 = t ( t+ 5 )

150 = t² + 5t

t² + 5t - 150 = 0

t² + 15t - 10t - 150 = 0

t(t + 15) -10(t + 15) = 0

(t - 10)(t + 15) = 0

t = 10 or -15

But t cant be negative as it is no. of trees.

So, t = 10

Therefore, no. of trees in each row is 10 + 5 = 15

and in each column is 10.
