In a garden there are rabbits and peacocks if you count the head of animals they are 78 and if you count the legs of animals they are 240 . how many rabbits and peacocks are there in the garden​

so 78 animals accounts for 78*2 or 156 front legs. The remaining 240-156 or 84 hind legs are owned by the rabbits. Each rabbit has two hind legs, so the 84 hind legs amount to 84÷2 or 42 pairs of hind legs, so there are 42 rabbits and 78-42 or 36 peacocks. So there are 42-36 or 6 more rabbits then peacocks.
