In a given figure PQ=PR then prove that PS > PQ​

Answer:

In ∆PQR,

PQ=PR=45°

Let the angle QPR be x°.

Now,

angle PQS= angle QPR + angle QRP ( exterior angle = sum of opposite interior angles)

So, angle PQS = x° + 45°

By this it is proved that angle PQS is greater than angle QRP .

Since angle QRP= angle PQR

angle PQS is greater than angle PQR.

As we know side opposite to greater angle is greater than that of the other angle's opposite side,

it is proved that PS is greater than PQ.
