Answer:

(I) no. answer = -7.5

(ii) no. answer=-40

Step-by-step explanation:

(i) no. answer

let the numerator and denominator=x

 \frac{x \times 2}{x - 5}  =  \frac{6}{5}

5(x \times 2) = 6(x - 5)

5 \times 2x = 6x - 30

10x = 6x - 30

10x - 6x =  - 30

4x =  - 30

x =  \frac{ - 30}{4}

x =  - 7.5

(ii) no. answer

let the numerator and denominator=x

 \frac{x + 8}{x + x } =  \frac{2}{5}

5(x + 8) = 2 x \times 2

5x + 40 = 4x

5x - 4x =  - 40

x =  - 40
