Given : A human like figure is standing in a base whose height is 3 ft.,  your Standing 10ft away,

To Find :  How far is the head Of the Statue from the floor level to the foot of the man looking at the statue.

Solution:

Height of head from floor = 3 + 5.5  = 8 .5 ft

Person viewing horizontal distance from statute =  10 ft

head Of the Statue from the floor level to the foot of the man looking at the statue. = d  ft

Applying Pythagorean theorem

d² = 10² + (8.5)²

=> d² = 100 + 72.25

=> d² = 172.25

=> d =13.12   ft
