8ar³ = ar⁶
r³ = 8
r =2
Hence the common ratio is 2.
Now, as r = 2 and the 5th term is 12,
ar⁴ = 12
(2⁴)a = 12
16a = 12
a =12/16
a = 3/4
Therefore the required GP is 3/4, 3/2, 3, 6, 12, 24, 48.....
