In a ground there are some bikes and cars are parked. 18 vehicles are there. If the total number of their tyres is 46, what are the number of bikes and cars? ​

Let the number of bikes be x

and let number of cars be (18-x)

2.x+ 4×(18-x) = 46 [ here  in 4×(18-x) , 4 came as in car no. of wheels are 4]

⇒2x +72–4x = 46.

⇒-2x = -26

⇒ x= -26/-2

= 13

Thus , number of bikes = 13

Number of cars = 18–13 = 5
