Step-by-step explanation:

male% = 44

female%= 55

total %of people = 100

children% = ?

55 + 44+Children% = 100

99 + children%= 100

children= 100 -99

children= 1%

now, we find no. of children

first we find total no of people,

let no. of people = x

no. of male = 88

using percentage formula,

(88*100)/x = 44

x = 200

no of people = 200

now, we find no. of children

let no. of children = x

using percentage formula,

(x * 100) / 200 = 1

x= 200/100

x = 2

no of children= 2
