Step-by-step explanation:

Total no of people 1000

Speak english 700

speak hindi 500

So,total no of people can speak 700+500= 1200

1200-1000 =200

200 people can speak one language.

Answer: 800 can speak only one language while 200 people speak two languages

Step-by-step explanation:

700 = English

500 = Hindi

Total = 1200 as there are only 1000 people in a group,

1200 - 1000 = 200

200 speak 2 languages ( 200 ×2 = 400)

800 + 400=1200 = 700 + 500
