In a group of 800 people, 500 can speak Hindi and 320 can speak English. Find
(i) How many can speak both Hindi and English? (ii) How many can speak Hindi only?

Formula used

n(AuB)= n(A)+n(B)-n(AnB)

500+320-20=800

So 800 people speak both

Again

People speak only Hindi

= 500-20

= 480

we can also find

People speak only English

320-20=300

People speak both

=800-( 480+300)

= 20
