In a group of cows and ducks , the number of legs are 24 more than twice the number of heads. Find the number of cows.

I thin so 12 because big unit to small unit ÷ comes so 24 ÷ 2 = 12

no ofcows =x
no of legs of cows =4x

no of hen = y
no of legs of hen = 2y



4x+2y= 24+2(x+y)
4x+2y =24+2x+2y
4x-2x= 24 +2y-2y
2x=24
x=24

so no of cows is 24...
