In a group of cows nd hens the no of legs is fourtern more than twice th no of heads.then what is the no of cows

and secondly, let the no. of cows be X, and of hens be Y

now a cow has 4 legs

a hen has 2 legs.

no. of legs = 4X + 2Y

and, no. of heads = X + Y

now, 14 more legs than twice the no. of heads

no. of legs = 14 + no. of heads

(4X + 2Y) = 14 + 2(X + Y)

4X + 2Y = 14 + 2X + 2Y

2X = 14

X = 7

there are 7 cows.
