Number of students who knows Hindi = 100

Number of students who knows English = 50

Number of students who knows both = 25

Find the number of people in the group:

Number of students who knows Hindi only = 100 - 25 = 75

Number of students who know English only = 50 - 25 = 25

Number of students who knows both = 25 (Given)

Number of students = 75 + 25 + 25 = 125

Answer: There are 125 students in the group.

Here's , Your Answer :-

=) Let H and E is the set of students who know Hindi and English respectively.

=) H for hindi and E for English .

=) n(H) = 100, n(E) = 50 and n(H ∩ E) = 25

=) Use formula ,

=) n ( H ∪ E ) = n (H ) + n ( E ) – n ( H ∩ E)

=) Plug the values we get,

=) [100 + 50 - 25]

=) 125 . (ans.)

Therefore, there are 125 students in the group .
