Probability that this student is not left-handed is 0.72.

Step-by-step explanation:

We are given that in a group of students the probability that a student is left-handed is 0.28 .

A student is chosen at random from the group.

And we have to find the probability that this student is not left-handed.

As we know that Sum of all probabilities of an even is equal to 1 which means that as in our question;

There will only be two cases that a student will be left-handed or right-handed . Other than this there will not be any further possibility.

So, Probability that student is left-handed + Probability that student is not left-handed = 1.

In the question, we are given the probability that a student is left-handed is 0.28.

Hence, Probability that this student is not left-handed = 1 - Probability that student is left-handed

             =  1 - 0.28 = 0.72

Therefore, probability that this student is not left-handed is 0.72.
