Hello!

Let :

• Number of doctors be \bf{5x}
• Number of lawyers be \bf{4x}

Then,

5x + 4x = 72

⇒ 9x = 72

⇒ x = \dfrac{\sf 72}{\sf 9}\boxed{\sf x = \sf 8}

Hence,
There are = 4x = 4 × 8 = \underline{\sf 32 \:lawyers} in the group.

Cheers!

paras39: wrong

iHelper: I'll edit :)

Heya!

Ratio = 5 : 4
Then, let the doctors be 5x and lawyers, 4x

Number of people in the group = 72
That is, 5x + 4x = 72 or 9x = 72
Then, x = 8

Now, the number of lawyers = 4x = 8 × 4 = 32

Hope it helps! ^^
