In a group when we move from top to bottom, the atomic radii of elements increase. Explain giving reasons.

The period table is arranged in the order of number of neutrons, electrons and protons.
Starting with the least number of protons in the beginning and ending with the greatest number of protons.
So, as we go down the group, the number of protons and electrons increases, the number of orbital in which the electrons are distributed also increases.
Hence, there is an increase in the radii of the atom.
