Provision for 300 students for 45 days = 300 × 45 × n = 13500n

Food used by 300 students for 31 days = 300 × 31 × n = 9300n

Food left = 13500n - 9300n = 4200n

No. of students after 31 days = 300 - 195 = 105

Food needs 105 students for one day = 105n

No. of days the remaining provision will last = 4200n/105n = 40 days
