Answer:

1.23 x 10^-7 m

Explanation:

Given In a h atom the transition takes place from l to k shell if r=1.08×10^7 m^-1 the wave length of light

We know that according to Rydberg’s constant

1/λ = R[1/nf^2 – 1/ni^2]

Nf is the principal quantum number of final state, K shell, n = 1

Ni = principal quantum of initial state L shell, n = 2

So 1/λ = 1.08 x 10^7[1/1^2 – 1/2^2]

           = 1.08 x 10^7 x 3/4

           = 1.08 x 10^7 x 0.75

          = 0.81 x 10^7

      λ = 1.23 x 10^-7 m

The wave length of light is 1.23 x 10^-7 m
