Power = energy/ time

energy = power × time

power of 1 bulb = 10 w = 0.01 kilowatt

time = 10 hrs

in case of bulb

energy consumed by 1 bulb = 0.01 × 10 = 0.1 kwh

energy consumed by 10 bulbs = 10 × 0.1 = 1 kwh

in case of fan

power of 1 fan = 100w = 0.1 kwh

energy consumed by 1 fan = 0.1 × 1 = 0.1 kwh

total energy consumed = energy consumed by bulb + energy of fan (1 + 0.1 = 1.1 kwh)

1 Kwh = 1 unit

total unit of energy consumed = 1.1 kwh

Cost of energy for 1 unit = Rs 10

total cost 1.1 × 10 = 11 rs
