Given:

One friend invested ₹xyz for y months

Another friend invested ₹y²z for x months

To Find:

If their ratio of contribution is 1:1

Solution:

Find the amount one of the friends has invested:

1 month = ₹ xyz

y months = y(xyz)

y months = ₹ xy²z

Find the amount the other friend has invested:

1 month = ₹ y²z

x months = x(y²z)

y months = ₹ xy²z

Find their ratio:

ratio =  xy²z :  xy²z

dividing both sides by xy²z:

ratio =  1 : 1

Answer: True

Answer:

a friend invests  ₹xyz for y months

next friend invests ₹y²z for x months

ratio of contribution = 1:1

Find the amount one of the friends has invested:

1 month = ₹ xyz                        x months = y(xyz)

                         y months = ₹ xy²z

other friend has invested:

1 month = ₹ y²z                                  x months = x(y²z)

                          y months = ₹ xy²z

ratio:

=  xy²z :  xy²z

dividing both sides by xy²z:

the ratio is therefore ratio is 1 : 1

therefore the statement is True
