Hello Dear,

◆ Answer -

Total cost = 9.24 Rs

◆ Explaination -

Distance travelled by tonga -

Tonga = 48 × 8 / (8 + 1 + 3)

Tonga = 32 km

Total charges by tonga -

Charge (tonga) = 32 × 24

Charge (tonga) = 768 paise

Distance travelled by rickshaw -

Rickshaw = 48 × 1 / (8 + 1 + 3)

Rickshaw = 4 km

Charges per km by rickshaw -

Charges = 24 × 1/8

Charges = 3 paise/km

Total charges by rickshaw -

Charge (rickshaw) = 4 × 3

Charge (rickshaw) = 12 paise

Distance travelled by cycle -

Cycle = 48 × 3 / (8 + 1 + 3)

Cycle = 12 km

Charges per km by cycle -

Charges = 24 × 4/8

Charges = 12 paise/km

Total charges by rickshaw -

Charge (rickshaw) = 12 × 12

Charge (rickshaw) = 144 paise

Total cost of the journey will be -

Total cost = 768 + 12 + 144

Total cost = 924 paise

Total cost = 9.24 Rs

Hope this helps you...
