In a library 20 percent of the books are in hindi, 50 percent od the remaining are on englosh and 30 percent of the remaing are in french the remaining 6,300 books are in regional languages. what is the total number of books in the library?

Therefore the remaining books = 100 - 20 = 80 books.
50% of these remaining books are in English = 50% of 80 = 40 books.
Therefore the remaining books = 80 - 40 = 40 books.
30% of these remaining books are in French = 30% of 40 = 12 books.
Now the remaining books = 40 - 12 = 28 books.
According to the question the total remaining books = 6300.

Now, 50% of remaining are english one

∴ English  books = 50\% \text{ of} \dfrac{4x}{5} } =\dfrac{50}{100} \times \dfrac{4x}{5} =\dfrac{2x}{5}

Now remaining books = \dfrac{4x}{5} -\dfrac{2x}{5} = \dfrac{2x}{5}

Now 30% of remaining are french one

∴ French books = 30\% \text{ of} \dfrac{2x}{5} = \dfrac{30}{100} \times \dfrac{2x}{5} =\dfrac{3x}{25}

Remaining are regional languages = \dfrac{2x}{5}- \dfrac{3x}{25} = \dfrac{10x-3x}{25} =\dfrac{7x}{25}

As given that 6300 books are of regional language

\dfrac{7x}{25} =6300\\\\\Rightarrow x=\dfrac{6300\times 25}{7} = 22500

Hence, the total number of books are 22500
