Novel:Other books=4:7

Number of novels before increasing= (1584/11)*4=576

Novels=576

Other books=1584-576=1008

Novels/other books=(576+x)/1008

=5/8.

(576+x)8=(1008)5

=>4608+8=5040

=>8x=5040-4608

=>x=432/8

x=54
