of books about science is to be purchased so that,

No. of science books =450

No. of hindi books =300

Ratio of science books to hindi books =450:300

=

330

450

=3:2

Let no. of Mathematics books =x

Ratio of Maths to Science books =x:450=3:2

=

450

=

[Cross multiply]

=2x=3×450

∴x=

2

3×450

x=675

∴ No. of Maths books =x=675.
