books to Maths books is 11:10, find the number of Hindi and Maths books.

As given hindi books: maths books=11:10

So we can also write 11:10 as 11y:10y
Now hindi books + maths books=4200(it is given)
So 11y + 10y=4200
21y=4200
y=4200/21
y=200

Hence hindi books=11y=11 x 200=2200
maths books=10y=10 x 200=2000
