Given :-

  • in a linear pair one angle is 3 times of the other

To Find :-

  • find the measure of two angles ?

Solution :-

let one angle be x

then other angle = 3x

and we know that,

sum of angle of linear pair is 180°

 \bold{: \implies x + 3x = 180 \degree } \\  \\  \bold{: \implies 4x = 180 \degree } \:  \:  \:  \:  \:  \:  \:  \:  \\  \\  \bold{: \implies x = \cancel  \frac{180 \degree}{4}  } \:  \: \:   \:  \:  \:  \:  \:  \:  \\  \\  \bold{:  \implies x = 45  \degree} \:  \:  \:  \:  \:  \:  \:  \:  \:  \:  \:  \:  \:  \:

so, one angle is of 45°

and other angle = 45 × 3 = 135°

hence, angles are ;

45° and 135°
