In a long distance race, an athlete was expected to take four rounds of the track where the line of finish was the same as the line of start. If the length of the track is 200 m, answer the following - 3M a) Is the motion of athlete accelerated? b) Calculate the distance moved by an athlete and his displacement at the end of the race. c) Is the distance moved by him and his displacement at the end of the race equal?

Answer:
× Length of track = 2 × 200 = 400 m
(a) total distance covered by athletics =
4 × Length of one round
= 4 × 400 = 1600 m = 1.6 Km = 1 mile
(b) displacement covered by athletics = final position - inital position =0
{ we know, accroding to question one round equal final position is same as initial position so, displacement in one round = 0 hence, displacement in 4 rounds = 0}
(C) we probably say that motion of athletic is non - uniform motion
becoz in question , never include about athletic speed , { e.g constant or not }
but practically athletic moves non - uniform motion , becoz sometime he accelerates own motion , sometimes do slow .
(d) never !!!
because , displacement = 0
but distance = 1600m = 1.6 km
