that the line of finish was same as the line of start. Suppose the length of the track was

200m.

(a) What is the total distance to be covered by the athletics?

(b) What is the displacement of the athletics when they touch the finish line?

(c) Is the motion of the athletics uniform or non-uniform?

(a) Total distance covered :-
✒ Number of rounds × length of track
✒ 4 × 200
✒ 800 metre

(b) Displacement at the end of 4 rounds :-
✒ 0 , as it comes to the same position from which started .

(c) Motion of athletics are non-uniform because a normal human can't run a marathon with same distance covered in same Intervals of time.

(d) No , the distance at the end of race is 800 metre and displacement is 0 metre .

(a)total number of rounds covered by an athlete =4
distance covered in one round=200m
distance covered in 4 rounds=4×200=800
(b)zero
(c)uniform circular motion
(d)no,because displacement is zero while distance is 800m.
