In a long time period of unfavorable conditions all living beings could die but microorganisms do not. Why?

this is because microorganisms have a very short life cycle and they divide at a very fast rate

so whenever there is an unfavourable condition , a microorganism just divides and forms daughter cells .

Thus they do not die
