In a lottery 10,000 tickets are sold and ten prizes are awarded. what is the probability of not getting a prize if you buy one ticket

No. of lottery tickets=10000.
No. of Prizes granted=10
No. of tickets that don't contain any prize=10000-10=9990
Hence the probability of not getting a prize=9990/10000=999/1000.
