Let number of correct answers be x and number of incorrect answers be y.

x+ y= 10

y= 10-x ____________(1)

According to question,

x(+5) + y(-3) = 29

5x-3y= 29

from (1),

5x-3(10-x) = 29

5x-30+3x= 29

8x= 59

x= 59/8

x= 7.375

Approximately 7 correct answers are given by Abdul.
