Answer:

mean : 54.8

Step-by-step explanation:

Mean =

 \frac{sum \: of \: all \: values}{total \: number \: of \: values}

 \frac{41 + 39 + 48 + 52 + 46 + 62 + 54 + 40 + 96 +  52 + 98 + 40 + 42 + 52 + 60 }{15}

therefore, mean =

 \frac{822}{15}

= 54.8 marks are the mean marks

Median:

For median , we have to arrange the given data in ascending order.

=> 39, 40, 40, 41, 42, 46, 48, 52, 52, 52, 54, 60, 62, 96, 98

here,

n= 15 ( total no. of values/ frequencies)

15 is an odd value.

So we will use ,

 (\frac{n + 1}{2}  ) ^{th \:} term

is the median.

 = ( \frac{15 + 1}{2}) ^{th}term

=( 16 / 2 )th term

=8th term

=52 is the median.

Mode:

It refers to the most frequent value in the data.

Here ,

Marks Frequency

38 1

40 2

41 1

42 1

46 1

48 1

52 3

54 1

60 1

62 1

96 1

98 1

In the provided data, The frequency of 52 is the highest.

hence, 52 is the mode of the given data.
