In a medical certificate by mistake a candidate gave his height as 25% more than actual. In the interview panel, he clarified that his height was 5 ft 5 inches. Find the percentage correction made by the candidate from his stated height to his actual height

In my opinion the correct solution is as follows:
Actual/clarified height = x = 5.5 
Mistaken height = 1.25x = 6.875
Percentage correction = (6.875-5.5)/6.875 = 20%
