In a mixture of 30 litres, the ratio of milk and water is 2 : 1. to make this ratio to be 1 : 2, find the quantity of water to be further added. . 30 litres 25 litres 20 litres 40 litres

Ratio milk:water = 2:1
3==30L
1==10L
2(milk)==2*10 = 20L
1(water)==1*10 = 10l
Milk = 20 L...Water = 10 L

Now, water is to be added to make the ratio 1:2.
Let the amount  of water to be added is 'X' L
20/(10+X) = 1/2
2*20 = 10 + X
40 = 10 + X
X = 30 litres
Hence amount of water to be added = 30 litres.
