Amount of milk =4x

Amount of water =x

Therefore we have

x+4x=35l

⇒5x=35l

Amount of water =x=7l

Amount of milk =4x=4×7l=28l

If 7 liters of water is added then the amount of water =14l

Amount of milk =28l

and the ratio of milk : water will be
