In a mixture of 80 litres of milk and water in the ratio 7:3.if 24l of this mixture is replaced by 16 l of milk

Let Quantity of Milk and Water were 7X and 3X respectively.
Total mixture = 80L
7X + 3X = 80
X = 8
Milk = 7X = 7*8 = 56L.
Water = 3X = 3*8 = 24L.
Replaced Mixture = 24L
7Y + 3Y = 24
Y = 2.4.
Out going milk = 7 *2.4 = 16.8 L
Out going water = 3Y = 3*2.4 = 7.2L

Now, Milk = 56 - 16.8 + 16 = 55.2
Water = 24 - 7.2 = 16.8.
Ratio of Milk and water = 55.2/16.2 = 23/7.

Ratio= 23:7.
