Answer:

15.73 Litre

Step-by-step explanation:

Let say b = 40 x

a : b :: 3:5

=> a/b  = 3/5

=> a = 3b/5

=> a = 3 * 40x /5

=> a = 24x

b: c :: 8:5

=> b/c = 8/5

=> c = 5b/8

=> c = 5 * 40x /8

=> c = 25x

a + b +c = 24x + 40x + 25x =

=> a + b + c = 89x

89x  = 35 Litre

1 = 35/89x

40x = (35/89x) * 40x

=> b = 15.73 Litre

\huge\bold{Answer}

=> Let b = 20 x.

=>a:b = 3:5 .

=> \frac{a}{b} =  \frac{3}{5}

=>a =  \frac{3b}{5}

=>a=  \frac{3 × 20 x}{5}

=>a = 12x

=>B:c = 8:5

=> \frac{b}{c} =  \frac{8}{5}

=> c =  \frac{5b}{8}

=>c =  \frac{5× 20x }{8}

=> c= 12.5 .

=>a+ b+ c = 12x + 20x + 12.5x

=> a+b+ c= 44.5

=> 44.5 x = 35 l.

=> b =  \frac{44.5}{35}

=>b =  \frac{35}{44.5}&20 x.

=>b=  \frac{20×35}{44.5}<br /><br />[tex]\huge\bold{=&gt;\:b\:=\: 15.73l}
