Given:

  • Total quantity of mixture of two liquid A and B is 20kg
  • Liquid B is 35%

To find :

  • Quantity of liquid A?

Solution:

As given in question that mixture of two quantity of liquid A and B is 20kg in which 35% of liquid is B.

Now, if 35% of liquid is liquid B then reaming liquid will be liquid A i.e = 100-35 = 65%

Therefore,

  • Liquid A is 65%

Finding quantity of liquid A in weight :-

As given that total liquid is 20kg and 35% is liquid A.

Therefore, remaining liquid will be liquid A.

Therefore,

Liquid B = 35% of total

→ Liquid B = \large{\sf{\dfrac{35×20}{100}}}

→ Liquid B = \large{\sf{\dfrac{35×{\cancel{20}}}{\cancel{100}}}}

→ Liquid B = \large{\sf{\dfrac{35}{5}}}

→ Liquid B = \large{\sf{\cancel{\dfrac{35}{5}}}}

→ Liquid B = 7kg

Now, we found that liquid B is 7kg where total liquid is 20kg

So,

Liquid A+ Liquid B = 20

→ Liquid A + 7 = 20

→ Liquid A = 20-7

→ Liquid A = 13kg

Hence,

  • \large{\boxed{\sf{\green{Quantity\:of\: liquid\:A\:65\%\: or\:13kg}}}}
