So, number of mobiles which are not defective = (100-20)% of x

= 80% of x

= 0.8x

So, number of mobiles left = (100-25)% of 0.8x

= 75% of 0.8x

= 0.6x

Given that the number of mobile phones left is 2400.

So, 0.6x = 2400

⇒ x = 2400/0.6

= 4000
