Step-by-step explanation:

Model ship:

Let the length of the model ship (AB) = x cm ,

Height of the mast (BC) = 9 cm;

Actual ship:

Length of the actual ship (DE) = 28 m,

Height of the mast (EF) = 12 m,

/* We know that,

∆ABC ~ ∆DEF,

AB/BC = DE/EF

(ratio of the corresponding sides)

x/ = 20/12

x = 28×9/12

x = 21cm

so the ans is 21cm

Answer:

21 cm

Step-by-step explanation:

9:x::1200:2800

Therefore

9/x=1200/2800

x× 1200=9×2800

x=9×2800/1200

x=21 cm
