See we have to make a table first with the data
Length of the actual ship(cm) 1200. 2800
Length of model ship(cm) 9. x
It is in direct proportion.
.
. . 1200/9=2800/x
x=2800×9/1200 = 21
So x=21

Hope it helps

\bigstar Given:

  • Height of the mast of model ship = 9 cm
  • Height of the mast of actual ship = 28 m

\bigstar To Find

  • How long is the model ship

\bigstar Solution:

Let the length of model ship be x

Here, length of mast and actual length of ship are in direct proportion

\frac{12}{9} = \frac{28}{x}

\implies x \times 12 = 28 \times 9

x=\frac{28 \times 9}{12}

x=\boxed{\underline{\underline{21}}}

Hence, length of the model ship is 21 cm
