In a musical chair game the person playing the music has been advised to stop playing the music at any time within 2min after she starts playing what is probability that music will stop within the first half minute after starting
Pls explain in easy way i cant understand

Given that The music will stop within 2 minutes = 120 seconds

So the music should stop from 1 second to 119 seconds.

Half a minute = 30 seconds

Less than half a minute means from 1 second to 29 seconds.

Probability of stopping the music within half minute = 29/119

nitthesh7: No Bcoz u cannot stop in the last second and in ques it is given that he need to stop the clock within 2 min so the 120th sec cannot be counted also the 30th sec cannot be counted. Hope u understand
