In a national park, the ratio of lions to elephant was 4:7. When 5 elephants were shifted to the other
national park, the ratio of lions to the elephants became 3:5. How many lions and elephants does the
national park have now?

Answer:

after shifting

4x/(7x-5) = 3/5

=> 20x = 21x-15

=> x = 15

therefore,

no: of lions = 4x = 4(15) = 60

no:of elephants = 7x-5 = 7(15)-5 = 100
