Sᴏʟᴜᴛɪᴏɴ :-

Team A :-

→ Total overs Played by Team A = 50 overs.

→ Run / Rate = 5.3 Runs / over

So,

→ Total score by Team A = 5.3 * 50 = 265 Runs.

Now, For Team B :-

Overs to Played = 5 overs.

→ Required Run rate now = 7.2 Runs / over .

Therefore,

→ Runs required by Team B to tie the match = 7.2 * 5 = 36 Runs.

Therefore,

Team B Present score = 265 - 36 = 229 Runs.(D) (Ans.)

Hence, Team B score 229 Runs in 45 overs.

✯ Total number of overs played = 50 overs

✯ Run Rate = 5.3 runs per over

✯ Total score= no. of overs × run rate

= 50over × 5.3 run/ over

= 265 runs.

✯ number of overs left = 5 overs

✯ Run Rate required to tie the match= 7.2 runs per over

✯ number of runs required for tie

= 5overs × 7.2 run/ over

= 36 runs.
