In a parallelogram ABCD, AB= 25 cm and the corresponding altitude is 15 CM. if the area of parallelogram ABCD is equal to the area of another parallelogram PQRS with side QR= 20 CM, then find the altitude of this parallelogram corresponding to side QR.

From the given data



We can understood


both have same are

consider x,the altitude of PQRS

then

there areas can be equalise like

25×15=20×x


from above equation x =18.75cm

Let the altitude be x

25×15 =20 × x

375 =20 × x

375 /20 = x

18. 75 = x

Altitude = 18.75 i. e. x
