sum of angles of a parallelogram is 360 degrees

the opposite angles are equal

hence
3x -10 and 3 X - 10 and 2 X + 10 and 2 X + 10 are the four angles
(3 X - 10)+(3x-10)+(2x+10)+(2x+10)=360

6 x - 20 + 4 x + 20 = 360

x=36

Given:

  • ∠A = 3x-10
  • ∠C = 2x+10

To Find:

  • Find the value of x.

Solution:

  • First draw a parallelogram ABCD.
  • ∠B+∠C = 180° ( Beacuse adjascent angles of a parallelogram are supplementary)
  • Substitute the given values in the above formula.
  • We get,
  • ∴(3x-10)+(2x+10) = 180°
  • Removing the brackets,
  • 3x-10+2x+10=180°
  • Adding up the like terms and cancellation of terms of opposite signs.
  • We get,
  • 5x = 180°
  • x = 180°/5
  • x = 36

∴The value of 'x' = 36.
