In a parallelogram ABCD, if angle A is 47°. Find the other three angles.​

We can write:-

  • AB||DC and AD||BC (Opposite sides are parallel in parallelogram)

Now:-

Since AB||DC and AD is transversal, therefore:

:➝∠A+∠D=180⁰ (Sum of co-interior angles=180⁰)

:➝47⁰+∠D=180⁰ (∠A=47⁰, Given)

:➝∠D=180⁰-47⁰

:➝∠D=133⁰

Here:-

ABCD is ||gm, therefore:

↝∠D=∠B (Opposite angles of ||gm are equal)

∠B=133⁰

Similarly:-

↝∠A=∠C (Opposite angles of ||gm are equal)

∠C=47⁰

  • Hence the other three angles are 133⁰, 133⁰ and 47⁰ respectively.
