In a parallelogram ABCD, it is being given that AB = 10cm and the altitudes corresponding to the
sides DC and AD are AB = 6 cm and CF = 8 cm, respectively, Find AD.​

First of all in parallelogram ABCD, we have:

area(ABCD)=base*height

=AB*AE

=10*6

=60sq. cms

Also area of parallelogram ABCD= AD*FC

=AD*8

So, value of AD=

AD*8=60 ( area of the same parallelogram)

AD= 60/8

AD=7.5cms
