2. Area of parallelogram = Base × corresponding altitude to base ...1)

4. Similarly if we select base as a side BC , its corresponding altitude is DN.

Area of parallelogram = Base × corresponding altitude to base
Area of parallelogram = BC× DN = AB× DM
